SCNBTA is the sole owner of any
information collected on the web site www.scnatureadventures.com.
SCNBTA may collect information from our users
at different points on our Web site.
Pages That Collect Information
We request information from the user on our Home,
Contact Us, Join SCNBTA and Media Relations
pages. In the future, we may collect information on
the Conferences page. A user must provide contact information
(such as name, email, etc.) in order to receive information.
This information is used to contact the user, either
by email or USPS mail, with requested information or
printed information.
Log Files
Like most standard Web site servers, our servers
utilize log files. Log files capture internet protocol
(IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider
(ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time
stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer
the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate,
and gather broad demographic information for aggregate
use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally
identifiable information.
Communications from the Site
Users who have provided their email address, may occasionally
receive information about events, announcements, and
newsletters. Out of respect for the privacy of our
users, we present the option to not receive these types

we may need to disclose personal information when required
by law, wherein we have a good-faith belief that such
action is necessary to comply with a current judicial
proceeding, a court order or legal process served on

Users who no longer wish to receive our newsletter or

Online Security
We do not request a user's personal
financial information via our forms
online. All information requested on our web site is
transmitted to us via unsecured email and ARE NOT
encrypted for security. Because of this, users should never offer
unsolicited financial information (such as credit card
number or social security number, etc.) in any field
in our forms on our web site. In the future, users may
be asked for personal financial information when registering
for conferences via a PayPal (secure) shopping cart.
SCNBTA will not have access to any personal financial
information collected by PayPal.
Offline Security
This Web site takes every precaution possible to protect
our users’ information offline. All of our users’ information
is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need
the information to perform a specific job (for example,
to update a members' information) are granted access
to personally identifiable information.

Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Member
Information
If a member's information
changes (such as address, zip code, phone, email or postal
address, etc.), we provide a way to correct, update or
change a member's information through the Join
SCNBTA page, or by emailing Mary

If a member wants to terminate his/her membership,
we ask that you contact us in writing by postal mail
at the address listed below.
Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post
those changes to this privacy statement, the home page,
and other places we deem appropriate so our users and
members are always aware of what information we collect,
how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any,
we disclose it.
If, however, we are going to use users’ personally
identifiable information in a manner different from that
stated at the time of collection we will notify users
via email and by posting a notice on our Web site for
30 days.
